Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
getting divorced
my husband and i have finally agreed on a settlement and i have signed and notorized it but he hasn't and his lawyer can't seem to get ahold of him. What can I do to force his hand? His lawyer mentioned me scheduling a hearing with the judge is this the best course of action?

Yes, set the motion before the judge and send copies to your husband and his attorney. The motion can be very simple, if you do not have your own attorney. Just mention the agreed settlement that has been executed by you, but needs your husband to sign and notarize. You may need to search out for a notary though; maybe the attorney for your husband is one and you could ask him to notariz the agreement.
