Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Got divorced in June I pay for everything for travel and she pays nothing(but the divorce states I pay 75% and she pays 25%) I sent a certified letter for the last trip and it will be thirty days as of August 15 and she refuses to send money for this trip for me to take him back to Florida from Japan. As far as the house, it was in foreclosure before the divorce and she wanst living in it she was living with her boyfriend. And the agreement before I left and on the papers was that the house was to be hers.. Complete responsibility. And I would get 10% of any profit from selling. If there is not profit I get nothing. If she doesnt want it or the costs associated with I will have the foreclosure done asap. I do want to work things out, but she refuses to budge on anything. she has no job hasnt finished school (shes been in since 2003 and doesnt have a BA). Living in a house in foreclosure with plumbing issues that is flooding one or two of the rooms. And cannot pay any money thats owed. And she makes it sound like she is having problems taking care of herself financially.. And my son is going into that situation. I try to get her to put an agreement in that I was listed as primary and our son would stay with me for the school year. That would give her a year to get things together and finish school and start her career. I would require no child support from her (as she makes/has no money) and the only thing that would come out of pocket would be travel expenses. That would be in the best interest for our son I feel as he has everything here ready for him. A place to stay thats not in foreclosure, school is across the street and I have the finances to take care of him. A huge opportunity here for him in Japan for school and travel that most kids do not get. And again we can do it for 1 year and if your not ready the next then one more year by then Ill be heading back to the states. I am military by the way. What should I do?
