Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I been divorced for the past six months.......Part of the settlement was that I get half of the 2008 income tax refund. My part was to be $ 2,000. Also, his 401k was to be divided for the lenght of our marriage....around $40,000. During the process of the divorce I had to get emergency dental care that amounted to $ 3,000. Which He promised to pay tru the flex benefits........Still, six months have past and nothing. I contacted my lawyer that represented me and nothing.....My question to you is this. Can I put a lien to his house?
Do I have to live in the same city?. or just the same state?. or there is another way of collecting on this. He works for the AFA.

It doesn't matter where you live.
You can sue him in civil court for what he owes you. Then, assuming you win, you'll be able to take action to collect your money, which will probably include putting a lien on his house.
