Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I'm now divorced. My ex and I have a 2 year old together. After a lengthy seperation I've met someone new and have moved on with my life. My boyfriend, who is a certified law enforcement officer, and I are talking about moving in together but my ex keeps threatening to take me to court and have our son taken away from me because I would be living with someone other than family. After some threatening phone calls on my ex's part, I now have an injunction against my ex. I was wondering, do I have to put my life on hold and not be able to have a relationship with anyone? Will I be able to move in with my boyfriend without the threat of having my son taken away?

It's not illegal to move in with someone while you're still married, but you should speak with a local family law attorney to see what effect it will have on your custody case. Given your long separation time, it may have no effect at all, but it's worth speaking to a local lawyer who knows how your local judges react to such things to be certain.
