Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I got divorced 5 years ago after a 27 year marriage in Florida and was awarded alimony per month and a set amount of the assets for 10 years. Last month I did not receive my money and I called my ex and asked if there was a proble. He informed me that there was no money. I am a full time student who will graduate in Education next December and work 32 hours per week and intern in a classroom 15 hours per wk. I also co-support a child in a private college. I rely 80% on my alimony and dividend. He is still in business but struggling. What should I do?

If there really isn't any money, there isn't much you can do. You can't get blood from a turnip. If you think there is money, you should file a motion for contempt/enforcement. You should hire a lawyer for that, but it is possible (though unwise) to do it yourself by using the form online at www.flcourts.org.
