Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am divorcing my dead-beat husband and father. He was kicked out after he beat up our child. He threatens the Florida 50-50 assets law. Can I file a breech of marital support since he refused to support us at all for years?

I do not understand his threat.

You can always request up to two years of back support and child support.
