Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
my dual citizen granddaughter is moving from canada to escambia county florida to live with me for a year or two and i need the proper documentation to be able to enroll her in high school...if i need the power of attorney forms can i have them notorized by a canadian notary so her parents (living in ontario) can sign the paperwork along with myself when i go up there for a visit at the end of august...my grand daughter will be coming to florida around that time
thank you

As a practical matter, I doubt if anyone will object, but, strictly speaking, international law is fuzzy about whether a Canadian power of attorney is valid in the U.S. It would be much, much better if the power of attorney could somehow be signed and notarized in the U.S. Another idea is to take the document to the U.S. consulate or embassy in Canada. They will notarize the document for a small fee.
