Are durable powers of attorney transferable from one state to another (specifically from Georgia to Florida)?

In response to your question: I can't give a definite answer because certain States have certain SIGNING requirements. As such, if Ga.'s requirements aren't as thorough as Fla.'s, a Ga POA may not be valid in Fla. You would need to look up the signing requirements in each State's statutes. Generally, businesses may acknowledge another State's POA, but that doesn't mean it could stand up to a legal challenge if the State's signing requirements weren't met.
