Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Enforcing court ordered alimony

My ex husband was ordered in the divorce decree to pay bridge-to-gap alimony. Plus, starting Dec 1st, 2008 continue paying me $400/mo for the next 3yrs. I havent seen one dime. He's in the Army and I'm being refused to obtain he's employer's info so he can be notified of this order as well as the child support in effect as well. Can they withhold Alimony? Or only Child support throught the State (of Fla) ? I live in Dunedin Fla

Re: Enforcing court ordered alimony

Yes, both alimony and child support can be withheld from his check (his LES) and be paid to you directly. However, it will probably have to be ordered by a judge. These orders are common and easy to obtain.
