Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Estate dispute

Hello: In 2004 there was an estate that was disputed. The diseased died and the estate ($20,000) was divided among several eirs. However, at the time of the distribution of the estate there was still a house that had not been sold (worth at least $300,000), a civil lawsuit that was won but the funds had not been collected by the lawyers etc. The lawyer defending the estate of the disease disappeared from the radar and would not return phone calls, would not answer letters, etc. Do we have a legal case agaist the lawyer? Possibly keeping the rest of the estate that was in his trust. How can we proceed? Any referrals to other lawyers that may work this case? Thank you

Re: Estate dispute

If the funds are in the attorney's trust, you certainly can and should request the immediate transfer of the funds and possibly may need to initiate proceedings against him/her. Feel free to call or e-mail me to discuss further.
