Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

After my exboyfriend kicked me out of his apartment he is refusing to give me my personal belongings back, that stayed with him the day I moved out. I am looking for a legal sample letter to "threaten" him, something like "if I don't get my belongings back by..., I will consider taking it to court". This whole situation happens in FL. Any kind of help is more than appreciated.

Do you have anything with the address to you at that apartment. If you do, then you can get a police escort to take you there to remove your personal things. You must have something to show that you lived there, received mail there, etc. If you are on the lease, you have every right to go in.
