Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex-husband is trying to take me to court because I plan on letting my boyfriend's son, who is 17 1/2 watch my kids for a few hours at a time while I go to work during the summer. I generally work from home. My daughter is 14 and I have two sons, ages 12 and 9. His argument is that a 14 year old girl should not be watched by a 17 year old boy. The 17 year old is a good student with no criminal history. I have shared a home with my boyfriend and his son for the past year. My ex and I have shared week/on week/off rotating custody. He has no basis to think that he is anything other than a responsible young adult. According to my divorce paperwork I am obligated to tell him when I will be gone longer than 4 hours so he can come get them but other than that I think I am in my right to let the 17 year old watch my kids. Thoughts????

A 17 l/2 year old is not an adult. HOwever, if your papers state you will need to be gone for more that 4 hours, tell him to come get the children.
