Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Hi, my exhusband filed a motion for modifcation for child support on our two children aged 7 & 11. i filled out & filed my finiancial affivdavit and filed it with the court. i did not file the supporting documents with the court because i don't want that to be public record. i only sent the financial affidavit also to my ex husband and now he filed a motion for production of documents. do i have to comply with his request?, he wants the documents sent to him directly, should i file them with the court too? to prove i complied if i have to do so?

Production of documents do not have to be filed with the court. YOu sign an affidavit that states what documents you supplied. However, if the documents are not relevant to the case, do not release them, just respond on his form that the documents are not relevant. When you are in court, have them with you in case the Judge states that the document must be produced. Has he produced to you his financial affidavit and also you should send him a Request to produce documents attaching Exhibit A which states which documents you want produced.
