Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex-husband, who I seperated from almost 25 yrs ago, has sworn for yrs that we have been divorced. We married in NYC. He has never provided a decree or any data showing details. I relocated to Fl and he relocated to Pa. I married April '08 and because I wanted to be sure my marriage was legal attempted to get the Fl courts to compel him to provide this decree. They wouldn't, so I sought a divorce which came through on Sept '08. However, he sent the Fl court a notarized statement stating that yes, we are definitely divorced. Now, I am facing a class c felony charge. What is the penalty and what recourse do I have? By the way, he has remarried several times since our seperation. Desperate. Please help!
