Soon to be Ex-husband stopped putting the money in the bank!
Dear, Law Guru,
My soon to be ex-husband said he was following orders from his lawyer who told him to stop putting money in the bank to help me and my school age son. Would a lawyer give such advice to her client when he was the bread winner in the family? If so, could I file a complaint against his lawyer?Because my soon to be ex-husband made the most money and I only babysit for one child in my home. He left me and my son for another woman and her son. Please tell me what I can do? I have bills to pay that are in both our names. I don't know what to do. Please heip!!!

Generally speaking, there is no obligation on the part of one spouse to support the other during a divorce, so your spouse's lawyer's advice was probably legitimate. You could file a complaint against his lawyer with The Florida Bar, but it probably wouldn't go anywhere, since you don't really have grounds for a complaint.
Your best bet is probably to try to get temporary alimony and child support. Temporary alimony is pretty common in a divorce, and temporary child support during a divorce is very common. You should hire a lawyer to help you with that.
