An ex-spouse's legal rights to a workman's compensation settlement
A man was determined permenently, and totally disabled
from an accident at work 10 years ago. He has been
separtated from his wife for 4 years. He just filed
for a divorce, and in the same time period settled on
his case for a lump sum from Workman's Compensation.
His wife's lawyer has requested information on the
outcome of his settlement. Does she have any rights to
any of his insurance settlement.

The wife may have an interest; it depends on the way the settlement is worded. There is a Florida Supreme Court decision on point
