Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Ex-wifes New Husband

I have just recieved my 6 year old daughter for our 4 week summer visitation. Upon arrival to my house she began to ask me about drinking, drugs and if I did them. I replied no to her and asked her what made her ask such a question. She then proceeded to tell me that her mommy and her new husband did lots of both and that when her mommy's new husband got drunk he would go crazy and expose himself to her and her 2 stepsisters, ages 6 and 12. As you could imagine I was infuriated and wanted nothing more than to destroy this man. My father stopped me as he said that this would end up making me look violent in a courts opinion. My question is, should I contact the HRS first and make a report or should I have an attorney speak with my daughter and then go from there, I am not sure as I can not believe what I have learned and from a 6 year old. I would appreciate any help with this dillemma.

File a Petition for Custody. That action will get the ball rolling. Once this case is filed then file a motion for Temporary Custody until the file decision on the case.
