Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

False Contempt, Custody Agreement

I am currently Pro Se and looking for an attorney for trial. In the meantime I need to respond to a few false contempts. I have three filed that specifically have false allogations and wildly incorrect statements. What can I file with the court, besides the ''motion to strike'', that will really get the courts attention and repramand the opposing counsel and my X for filing false documents. I went as far, in a recent hearing on some of the contempts to have a Dr. who is conducting a Psyc Eval. disprove, under oath, nearly all of two contempts. There has to be something to punish false allogations and defamation of character attacks. Please help!

Re: False Contempt, Custody Agreement

You can file a motion for sanctions, which can involve striking their pleadings (even their defenses or dismissing a petition outriht) or a monetary sanction. If you had an attorney the court could award fees, I am not sure how the judge will handle since you are pro-se, certainly any costs could be awarded. This is very discretionary, totally up to the judge whether and how to sanction.
