Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Family and Divorce
I am lost at what to do. I live with my mom who just moved to Florida because of a touch divroce. My dad does not want me to move back to Denver my senior year, but i want to. I know if I move back my dad will get mad unless I live with him but I have not talked to him in four years. The reason why I want to move back is because I cannot stand living in Florida. It is too hard and too much for me to handle. What can I do so I can live in Denver my senior year?

I am guessing you are referring to your senior year in high school. If so, until you reach the age of 18 and can make decisions on your own, you have to reside with the parent designated by the court as the primary residential parent. The only exception would be for that parent to agree to allow you to live with the other and the non residential parent being in accord with this decision.
Other than that, your only recourse is to file for emancipation with the court. It can be a costly process as outlined in an earlier question asked by another party.

If you are 18 or when you reach 18, you can live where you want to. But, it sounds as though your mom has physical custody of you if you since you have not seen your father in 4 years. It may be that she has full legal custody as well. In that case, she can allow you to live in Denver as a minor while you finish high school. The problem is going to show residence there in order to register unless you go to a private school... If your mom does not have full legal custody, she can petition for it on the basis of what say here.
