Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
family law
I was pregnant & decided early on that I could not afford a 3rd child & that the father was a horrible person. I had the baby & was confused but felt obligated to sign the papers to let parents adopt my baby. The next day, I tried to reverse it & was told it was too late. My only chance to getting my baby back was to tell the father. I did and now he has her and will not give her to me. He is hiring a lawyer & bringing up my past history so I can't have her. So my fears while pregnant are now happening! Please help me, I have been turned down by free legal aid and feel helpless and heartbroken.

Hello:
I just read your question...'sorry you have to go through something like this. I'm sure it is very emotional. I work in the various counties in No. Fla. You didn't state where you live...or if there is a pending case in a different city. As such, I don't know if my office can be of any assistance.
However, are you saying that the father did not consent to the adoption??? That would be great for your situation. If he has custody, as ordered by a Court, it means you have not terminated your parental rights. This leaves the door open for you to get visitation, or custody. Keep fighting...it is worth it in the long run. If my office can be of assistance in No. Fla. please write or call. Good luck. Tom Rosenblum
