You must go back to Court and file a Petition to change custody. If you do not do this, even if your ex gives your daughter permission to live with you, you will still be responsible for child support to your ex.

While a Court will not always follow the request of a teenager, the court will listen as to why you and your daughter wish this change and then determine whether the change is in the best interest of the child.

You can file a petition and ask to change custody. The court may consider the child old enough to make a decision like that.
