Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Does the father have say so?

I'm the biological father of the child. There is another guy that was believed to be his father. I'm finding myself in confrontations with him about my childs welfare. He isn't married to his mother nor has he every been. Can I have him legally removed from the situation?

The only thing you can do to remove that person from your child's life completely is to petition for either a restraining order against the person or to petition for sole custody without visitation. Both require a strong finding of fact that the person in question (or your ex-spouse) is quite detrimental to your child and unless you are indigent, you will bear the costs of the inverstigation and court procedings.

You have custody and visitation rights. Your involvement can be set out in a court order.
