Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Father in jail How do i change custody?

My son's father is in jail. This is his 3rd time. I have residential custody of my son but we have joint custody. I wanted to change custody so that i would make all the decisions concerning my son. I dont want him to have any say considering he cant make any good decisions for himself. Is that sole custudy or is it called something else. I am not sure what I need to ask for legally. Would it be difficult to do this? If change custody do I also have to change child support or can I just leave that alone?

You need to seek modification in court. He will have to be served with papers. Good luck.
