Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
The father of my unborn son told me he is going to be taking me to court right when the baby is born to get visitation rights. My due date is june 11th. The thing is, I REALLY don't want him to be apart of the baby's life because he is not a good role model. He has turned into a drug addict and he is always drinking, the people he surround himself with are not good influences, which are his family and very close friends. His mother is actually suppose to be going to jail for heroin.I know that he has stop taking drugs at the moment so that when we go to court he can pass a drug test but he does not plan on quitting. His family are completely rich to where money is no problem for court or anything.
Is there ANY way to have the courts deny him of his rights and keep him out of the child's life?I am perfectly fine not receiving child support as long as he gets no visitation.
I strongly believe that my son will have a better life not knowing who his father is.
The father and I were never married.

You should get an attorney. He will have rights if the paternity is proven but you need to prove to the court why his visitation should be under supervision or not at all.
