Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Father visitation sleeping arrangements

My daughter is turning 10 and since we divorced 5 years ago I have been telling him he needs to get her, her own bed. He refuses and claims there is no room in his house and she still sleeps with him when she visits every other weekend and on vacations. He lives with his parents in a 3 bedroom home. Can I enforce this or not. I have no complaints but I feel a girl that is growing up should sleep in her own bed as she does in my house. Is there any law in FLorida for this and if so can I get a copy so I can show it to him.

Re: Father visitation sleeping arrangements

This should be brought to the judges attention by motion to modify visitation.

Re: Father visitation sleeping arrangements

No law forbids this. Still, you might want to speak with a couple of lawyers to see how judges in your area would feel about this. At 10, it's probably questionable, but allowable. In a couple of years, I'm pretty sure most judges will restrict his visitation until he finds another arrangement.
