Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Father withholding medication from child

My daughter's son (10 ) lives with her and she makes sure he takes his medications for chemical imbalance (adhd)But, his father doesn't want him to be on medication. Because the parents do not agree on this issue the doctor said that she cannot continue being the child's doctor. Can my daughter do anything about this? The medications were helping until now. Her ex will not cooperate and he thinks their is nothing wrong with the child. Mostly after weekend visits with the father he gets bad behavior reports from the teachers. He has developed a bad habit of ''skin biting'' and not taking his medication consistently is not helping this situation. What can my daughter do? They have share custody and my daughter is the custodial parent.
