Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am the father of a 1 yr old. The mother and I lived together with the baby up until about a mo ago. We are no longer together and the mother is planning on leaving the county with the baby to live with her mother who in the past has been charged and convicted of felony child abuse. My ex-girlfriends mother is also married to a convicted child predator who is currently serving 15 yrs for raping my ex-girlfriend when she was 10 yrs old. Can she go live with this woman? She has used the baby to get back at me in the past for everything.

If I were you, I would petition for custody (or at least temporary custody) until this situation can be worked out. If you need assistance, please give me a call at 1-800-408-5818 or email me at [email protected].
Are you married to the mother? Are you on the birth certificate? IF you have filed no papers with the court, you have as much right to this child as she does. I suggest you petition the court for custody ASAP
