Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

possible fatherhood

Hi, i Really need help, i will try to keep it short. When i first met my husband (of 4 years) he stated that a woman that he briefly dated had accused him of being her childs father. I looked it up online and saw where it was ''NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY DISMISSAL WITHOUT PREJUDICE'' He never attended a hearing due to the courts rescheduling due to remodeling (he flew back & forth from Tx due to his job numerous times) She is, to put it nicely not a decent individual, so when it was dropped he assumed they found the father. He was contacted a few days ago by Fl Dept of Child & Fam. They met w us and stated that the mother stated he was the father of her 10 yr old daughter. We were given a paper and a report, the paper did not have his name printed on it but stated ''Mothers motion for reunification'' & we were told we should attend. The report listed 4 childrens names w 3 diff last names (none his) and discussed abuse and that the children were taken away. I searched and found out she is still married to Mr A the father of child A, 4 yrs later Child B (in question) was born without my husbands knowledge, 11 mths later Child C born. 7 yrs later Child D born. Child B & C have same last names. Father & still husband of Child A paid support for

Re: possible fatherhood

Your post got cut off, so I don't know what your questions is. If this woman was married when this 10-year-old was born, then the child legally belongs to the woman's husband (or ex-husband), so your husband may not have anything to worry about it.

Either way, your husband should not sign anything or agree to anything without consulting a lawyer. The lawyer will probably tell your husband not to do anything until he is served with a child support lawsuit, if he ever is.
