Father's rights

My girlfriend does not want to give our unborn child my last name. Do I have any legal rights?

You'll need to file a paternity suit to establish your father's rights once the child is born. If the mother doesn't agree to having your last name as the child's last name on the birth certificate, you can ask that the child have your name or a hyphenated name during the paternity suit.
