Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My fianc is doing a mortgage short sale, would this affect me in the future.

How about any credit card debt that she may have before marriage?

Do you mean "fiance"? I'm not trying to be picky, but with one "e," your question is a little confusing, since one "e" is male, and two is female.

As long as your name isn't on any of the debt, marrying her should have no effect on your credit, and his creditors will be unable to come after your nonmarital (premarital) assets so long as you don't put her name on any of those premarital assets. You should sit down with a family lawyer to make sure everything you have is protected, though.
