Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My fiance has a child with another woman. She collects federal assistance on the child. Because he collects SSI he was told child support enforcement can't go after him. If we get married can they take money from me to try and collect child support for his child?

No, your income is safe, and can't even be considered. By the way, he may be entitled to credit for the income she receives on the child. Even a lot of family law attorneys don't know this, but it could reduce his support. Also, has he checked on whether he can get SSI for the child? If so, it offsets his child support.
