Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My Fiance was served with divorce papers yesterday(8/11/09). We really need the help of a lawyer but we can't afford to pay that much because he has been on unemployment for 8 months until 1 month ago. What can we do? The wife is trying to take him to the cleaners.
