How do figure out child support if one spouse is not working?

The court may "impute" income to the non working spouse if that spouse is voluntarily unemployed. This is very fact specific. Furthermore unemployment benefits and disability benefits may be considered income for support purposes. As such, if the spouse is unemployed but obtaining certain benefits, depending on the benefits, they may be used to assess support.
