Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
How can I file for modification of child support without an attorney and from another state? My son was kicked out of his father's house 2 years ago at which time he also dropped out of school. I found out in July of last year after I had already sent the child support for a year. Son never received anything during the time I was sending child support to the state. I quit sending to the state when I found out and starting trying to help him. He now lives with me and I am still responsible for $1500 even though he turned 18 last December. How do I take care of this from so far away?

You could file a supplemental petition for modification of child support in the county in which the father lives, but your better bet is probably to file for a modification of custody in your own state, since that's where your son now lives. Speak with a family law attorney in your state and see if it's possible. That will probably clear up child support and custody at the same time.
If you want the back money that you shouldn't have paid, you'll have to sue the father in civil court (not family court) in Florida.
