Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I filed for divorce from my husband, and we just divorced a few days ago, and it was finalized. However, my oldest daughter is turning fifteen and i wanted to take her to Europe for a week. Her psychologist talked to him and he agreed to do it, and to give us money for the trip. He never came by to sign the papers. He convinced the psychologist that all the stress from the divorce was making him sick and needed a few days to unwind. So he has left the country, and now we can't go without him signing. My daughters are very upset, especially my other daughter who is 11 and autistic. She had her heart set on that trip. We don't know what to do. I can't get a lawyer because I'm broke after the divorce, the trip was paid for me by a close friend. About 10,000 dollars were paid. We can't lose that money. How can I get his authorization some other way?

If you have a passport there should be no problem. However, if you need to get a passport, then you will need to get an Order from the Court allowing her to leave the country and to get a passport. Check with the passport office, they can tell you exactly what type of Order you will need.
