Based on the described facts of your inquiry, you have for too long delayed your response to the legal situation. You indicate that you were served papers on 2/28. A family court will under FL law decide parental rights, including custody and child support, in the best interests of the child, and in the absence of your response, will act consistent with legal time limits. Advice: consult asap with legal aid, family law agency, or family law attorney to safeguard your parental rights and the best interests of your son. Assemble all legal documents received from the other party so that you can be advised of legal procedures and options now.
