Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I filed a Pro Se divorce in Pasco county Florida, and my husband is in Federal prison for at a minimum of another 8 years. He did within his 20 days answer and contest. He contested me changing my last name, my asking for sole custody, and date of separation. I know I need to complete m parenting class, but what from here? How do you mediate with someone incarcerated? And what Motion of hearing do I used to get this before our assigned judge to get this moving along? So we can be done with this asap. There are no assets, no liabilities, etc... Help!

First, your husband cannot object to changing your name. Because he is contesting other issues, you will have to set a hearing before the judge. Call the judge's assistant and explain your situation. The judge may refer you to mediation and your husband may appear over the phone.

Good luck.
