Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
financial obligations
I am seperated and maintaining seperate households. My husband has incurred both credit and medical debt since the seperation. His cancer diagnosis was after we seperated. If he dies, will I be legally responsible for the debts he incurred?

No, his estate will.

Re: financial obligations
Some bills have to be paid before the rest of the estate is distributed (presumably to you or according to his will). However, the court cannot take an asset that was your individual property to pay the estate's creditors.
