new fl ustody law

I was looking to move down there but was told that there is a new law effective oct 08' how will this law vary from the current custody and visitation laws?

If you obtained custody in another state, it is that state's laws that apply to your case unless the jurisdiction is transferred. If something happens done here,or if the case is trandsferred here, then the new law may kick in (although I am not too sure what you are referencing).
