Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
How can the florida courts give legal rights to a man for adotpting a child as a step-parent but deny the marriage allowing the husband to avoid alimony and any other obligation a marriage incurrs?

I'd have to know more facts about your case. Was the marriage "denied" because the man had not completed a prior divorce? Some appellate courts have said that isn't a reason to deny alimony, at least not where fraud is involved. And I think you have a good point regarding the step-parent adoption.
