Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Florida Divorce Decree Enforcement

I was divorced in Palm Beach County 17 years ago. My decree states that my ex-husband is responsible for providing a $100,000 life insurance policy naming me as sole beneficiary. He has refused to comply in spite of my lawyers demands through the years. Presently, he claims he is uninsurable due to an unspecified kidney ailment which did not prevent him from working, and produced a letter from an insurance company declining to insure him that was written 18 months prior. I believe he is currently unemployed or possibly retired from a high-income profession.

I receive lifetime alimony and am nearing retirement age. What action must I take to force him to comply with the decree?

The proper way to enforce a final judgment is to file a motion for contempt requesting the court to force the other party (your husband )to comply with the final judgment requiriing him to put provided you with one hundred thousand dollars of life insurance.if you need further assistance e-mail me your phone number to discuss this further.

Sincerely,
