What are the Florida divorce laws when it comes to your children? Can I move to another state with our child after residing in Florida with my husband? We were married in Texas and have lived there together for the past 9 years.

If you are a Florida resident, your child becomes a resident under the court laws. You can move to another state but you would need to get a court order to do so.

File your divorce action and as for temporary needs, custody and support and and Order to relocate (based on job, family or whatever it is that you are moving).
