Is it possible for granparents to petion for a meeting in judges chambers regarding safty of grandchildren?

Generally no. Only parties are allowed to address the Court. Best bet is to go to the Department of Children & Families Services or the Guardian Ad Litem Program, if they are on the case and explain your concerns and they may pick the ball up and run with it.
