Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am in Florida and my husband and I are getting a divorce I make more than him but i am taking over the large rent and it has been agreed that our daughter will be with me mainly and he will see her 2 days a week. he supplies her insurance and half of her school expenses. I don't want alimony or child support from him we agreed to split the expenses of her that way. I was told that the judge could over rule our wishes and make me pay him child support! Is this true? Even if we have agreed no money to change hands?

No. You can prepare a marital agreement and parenting plan exactly as you wish. The judge may ask you a question or two about the agreement but basically, if the two of you have agreed, then the judge will sign off. If you need help in preparing the docs, please contact my office for an appointment 904-997-1031.
