Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

florida laws

I am looking for legal advice concerning custody matters in the state of Florida. My friend is separating from his girl friend of which he has a year old son together. The father of the girlfriend is harassing my friend through pressing charges on him over everything he can think of in order to prevent him form seeing his son. My friend was served warrant papers for his arrest- twice in one day- on the day before the custody hearing over his son- in order to keep him out of court. Its worked in the past and judgments are adding up (The only fault I can find that my friend has is his ability to run his mouth when he shouldnt). What can he do now? How can he stand up for his rights? How do we find out exactly what his rights are? Im thinking about going to a law library but I need some assistance on where to begin. Any direction you can give would be greatly appreciated.
