Florida: In order for my son to be named the Dad on the birth certificate, does he have to sign anything?
His girlfriend gave birth 2 days ago and he's never signed anything. After 9 months of her claiming he is the Dad, I'm worried that she's not listing him on the birth certificate as the Dad.

If they are not married and he did not sign an acknowledgement of paternity, then he has to go to court to enforce his rights. Contact my office for free consultation.

I would be more concerned as to whether this is his child rather than have him sign a birth certificate stating that he is the father. I suggest you file a paternity suit and force her to do a DNA test with him before you worry about him signing his name. This child may not be his.
