Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

In Florida, if you have proof (lots of it) that your ex-wife did everything she could to get you fired by repeatedly calling you boss, corporate HR and clients (trying to get them fired) and finally succeeded, can you try to get spousap support reduced or taken away once you find a new job?

It could not hurt to file an amended to spousal support claiming the reasons for the reduction needed - and you must have proof in writing from all witnesses and your employer that you were terminated due to the harrassment of your wife. I doubt that he would put that in writing as this is not a reason for an employer to dismiss you.

If this happened after your divorce you may have a separate legal action against her; see a personal injury attorney. Also report this to the Judge as a reason you cannot pay the full amount of alimony.

I agree with Mr. McCall, you may have a tort claim against her in a separate action.
