Florida also does not fool around with child support. In FL you can get 2 years retroactive from the date you file for support.

Even if you don't need or want his money, the money belongs to the child. She deserves it. The child support guidelines for FL are available online at www.flcourts.org in the self help area. You should contact the department of revenue or a private attorney to help you. Do not trust this man as every day that goes by you are losing out on more support. If he wants to help he should have no trouble paying through the depository.

The father's offer to pay child support is an insult to you. You are the person that needs the support so that you can take care of his child - particularly since he hasn't been there for 11 years. He very likely owes child support plus interest for more than $20,000. Do not fall for his offer to put money in some account under his name. That's BS. The Attorney General's office is very good at collecting your child support. I do those cases also and can usually do it faster than the AG's office. Call me if you want to discuss. Good Luck. Thanks,
