Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

my friend has kids and wants joint custody of his kid, the only problem is he is a sex offender. what can he do. he think thats going to stop him from getting custody. please help

Was his act due to an underage mother of his children? Need more info on his offense. As to him getting custody - probably not however he might could get supervised visitation with the children but it will really depend on his sex offender status.
