Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

A friend of mine and her kids have lived with her parents for the past couple of months. She left her children in the care of her sister for one night and when she was going to come get them to take them to spend the night at a friends her parents wanted to keep the children so they could take them to church the next morning. Then her parents told her that until she gets on her feet to leave the children in their care and they basically kicked her out. I was wondering if she could get in trouble for either child abandonment or neglect based on the fact that she's not residing with the children. She wants to get her kids but she would have nowhere to go with them at this time. What could her parents do to her and what can she do? Could she get in trouble for abandonment or neglect?
